This cap was awarded to Preston North End and England legend Sir Tom Finney on his debut World Cup appearance in a game against Chile in 1950 at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
It was to be his 26th appearance for England match, and also England’s first ever match against Chile.
England ended up as 2 – 0 winners on the day in front of a crowd of 30,000. However with Spain winning the group, neither nation was to advance beyond the group stages.
