This is a very rare 1929 Barlow Cup runners up medal from the Detroit American Soccer League.
Made of solid 10 carat gold, it was awarded to George Hailstones of Liberty FC.
There are several Liberty FC teams listed in the USA, but we can’t find any further information on the Detroit club other than a brief mention in the 1931 Detroit Free Press, charting the teams journey towards that year’s cup final.
