A fantastic early 1900s Great Western Railway poster advertising return trips to Swindon, ahead of the visit by Tottenham Hotspur.
This game never appears to have taken place, as Spurs are recorded as playing an FA Cup 3rd round tie at home to Aston Villa that day.
Swindon played Spurs in the Southern League on 22nd April.
The poster looks to have been printed in February 1903, probably before Spurs beat Bristol City 1 – 0 in the cup to progress to the third round – so the Swindon game was most likely rescheduled to make way for the cup clash.
